Following the latest government advice, we have taken the decision that all SHINE staff will now be working from home until further notice. The team will continue to be available to take your calls and emails as normal, however all meetings will now be postponed or moved to teleconference, and there may be delays in receiving post as we redirect mail on a weekly basis.
We recognise that the covid-19 outbreak is an unprecedented event that is already having a significant impact on all schools and teachers. Inevitably it will also disrupt SHINE projects, as the priorities of teachers shift towards preparing for potential school closures.
We understand how tough it is for schools at present and want to offer any support we can to alleviate the pressures they are facing. We are completely open to adapting activities, extending reporting deadlines and looking at grant payments where necessary. Please do get in touch if we can help in any way.
More than ever we are in awe of the amazing resilience and adaptability of all teachers as they work wonders to look after the nation’s children throughout these difficult and uncertain times.
We are also keen to offer additional assistance to schools, teachers and families that will help support disadvantaged children through this difficult period. Please do let us know if there is anything SHINE could do that would make a difference to these children, who need our support now more than ever.
