About us

Since its foundation at the turn of the millennium, SHINE has invested over £40 million in innovative education projects, benefitting more than 1.4 million children across 20,000 schools.

As a grant-making charity that has been based in the North of England since 2017, we are dedicated to supporting teachers in disadvantaged areas across the North West, North East, and Yorkshire & Humber.

We are proud to have built a network of successful practice across these regions, reaching over 400,000 children in the past 8 years.

By connecting educators with philanthropy, we drive innovation and create lasting, positive change in schools.
