Durham University students raise funds for SHINE
Charity chosen as students wanted to help less-privileged children in the North East
Students at St Mary’s College, Durham University, chose SHINE as the charity they will support during the 24/25 academic year.
As part of this support, the college’s annual charity dinner – the Michaelmas Dinner – was given the theme “Let’s SHINE together”, with donations offered in aid of SHINE.
A spokesman for the college’s Junior Common Room said: “We are delighted to be raising money for our charity partners, SHINE, this year.
“This charity has been chosen as it is a great opportunity for us as university students to give something back to children in our local area that might not have the same opportunities as us!”
